Eat Well >= 2 Meals
Careful readers may have saw a reference to recent, scary health issues. I'm fine now. Really, I feel great. But, I had an event (involving an ambulance, the ER and a 6 day hospital stay) that left me feeling mortal. So, it's time to improve my habits. The first step is to eat well at least twice a day. "Eat Well" is a very simple objective. Right now, as I adapt, it basically means, smaller portions, balanced food and limited sweets and salt. Success will be measured by tracking my Body Weight and Blood Pressure.
Life can be stressful. And stress can cause all sorts of problems. Most of all, I just want to be more engaged, more empathetic and more relaxed. So, I'm trying to practice Meditation; calm down, slow down and be more present. The method is simply, meditate at night, when I can (i.e. when Leslie is working and I'm home). At this stage, we're starting slow. When opportunity presents, I try to meditate for at least 5 minutes. My long term goal is 20 minutes a day. I'm learning, so for now, it's sit quietly and with good posture, let thoughts flow in and out, and focus on my breathing.
This is simple. Clean, declutter, and straighten up daily. We live in a small home and it can easily get out of control.
Drink it. Lots of it. My current objective is > 130 ml a day.
